

Hi, I’m Lorraine, the owner of 3Birds Bagels & Provisions. I have always been an avid cook and baker. Though I was sidetracked as a lawyer for many years, I often headed back to the kitchen to unleash my creativity. Now I’m am fortunate to have found my way into a new venture making and selling sourdough bagels and other baked goods.
My love of all things sourdough started more recently, during the pandemic. I began baking sourdough daily and was hooked on the science and the taste. I baked bread, English muffins, focaccia, pizza and, eventually, bagels. As a native of Brooklyn, I’ve always wanted, but never thought I’d be able, to master the NY style bagel. Through lots of practice, following the traditional boil and bake method, I perfected my technique. I love everything about making bagels, the shaping, the boiling and the baking. My starter, Yeastie Boys, and I spend lots of early morning quiet time in my home kitchen, bubbling and concocting magic.
3Birds also sells my famous granola which I have been making for many years to the delight of my family and friends who receive it as gifts. My granola is a perfect blend of sweet and savory, made with mostly organic ingredients. I also am pleased to offer two kinds of cookies, rainbow sprinkle cookies and traditional NY black & white cookies, which have been taste tasted by friends and family to rave reviews.
3Birds is a licensed Marin County cottage food business, which means I can make and sell my treats directly to you. Currently, I deliver to San Franciso and Marin every week. Pick up at our house in San Rafael (Terra Linda) is also available. I hope you will place an order and try a 3Birds bagel, some granola or a tasty cookie soon
